Join thousands of residents and visitors during the Market Season and connect with growers. Choose locally-raised food and treasure-hunt among the art and craft vendor booths. Gather info about local non-profits, schools, and other community groups on our Community Row. Catch up with friends, take in some music from local performers, and enjoy the public square atmosphere the Market at the Square has to offer!
 
  9:00AM 11:00AM Canoeing for Beginners   Walnut Hill Boat Launch, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 2573 S. Homer Lake Rd, Homer, 9–11 a.m. or 1–3 p.m. Never been in a canoe before? This program is the place to start! After learning the basics of canoeing and water safety, you will be a part of a canoe caravan around Homer Lake. We will explore the animals and plants of the water while practicing your canoeing skills. All equipment will be provided; please bring sunscreen and water to drink. Minimum age to participate is 8 years old; an adult must accompany children under 18. Space is limited so please register early. $8 per person, or $4 if you bring your own canoe. Registration by phone required: (217) 896-2455. Please request either the morning or the afternoon session when you register.

And Captain Bligh will do anything to get there as fast as possible, using any means necessary to keep strict discipline. Starring Charles Laughton, Clark Gable and Franchot Tone.
